T3RRA Paint is the easiest way to create a field prescription map. If you can draw a picture, you can make an Rx map!
Unlike regular tools, we don't make you create zone boundaries, so there is no need to do the "click around a zone" dance. We allow you to create a map the same way you would if you were using pen and paper.
Zoom the world map to the field you are interested in. Draw a boundary around that field. Select a rate, and a drawing tool. Now start painting!
Click around the boundary like you normally would. You can move points, add points, and use SHIFT-click to remove points
Grab a brush or bucket (fill tool).
Select a color (rate) and start painting.
Rates are linked to colors. When you paint with a certain color you are actually painting with an application rate.
Save the Rx Map you have created as a generic shapefile. Transfer it to your rate controller and then start work.
Play with the 'nearest neighbor' color. This paints a rate determined by the nearest rate. It's awesome for filling in fiddly areas without having to concentrate too hard.
